REAL CORP AWARDS
The call for the REAL CORP 2027 Awards is now open!

CORP – Competence Center of Urban and Regional Planning is delighted to announce that the call for the Best Paper Awards 2027 is now officially open.

Introduction

The awards will be granted for in these categories:

1. Young Planners and Students Award
   Focus: MA/PhD candidates and early-career researchers (≤35 years)
   Reward: Complimentary registration for REAL CORP 2028 and Official Certificate
   Application: Use the form below
   
   
2. Senior Academics and Research Institutions Award
   Focus: Peer-reviewed paper submissions to the REAL CORP 2027 proceedings
   Reward: Complimentary registration for REAL CORP 2028 + Spotlight Feature
   Application: Use the form below
   
   
3. Projects and Innovative Initiatives Award
   Focus: Municipalities, urban planning consultancies, tech companies, NGOs, and architecture firms
   Submission Fee: EUR 150.- for public administration and municipalities, EUR 300.- for commercial companies and private firms
   Submission Benefits and Visibility:
   * Directory Listing: All submitted projects will be listed with dedicated links on the official REAL CORP results page.
   * Global Reach: Award results and selected projects will be actively communicated and featured across all REAL CORP distribution channels (website, newsletter, social media, and global professional networks)
   Reward: Official Award Certificate and Feature presentation opportunity
   Application: Direct submission to office --at-- corp --dot-- at via a 2-page project brief highlighting innovation, practice, and urban impact.
   
   

Eligibility

Any fully registered researcher presenting in the REAL CORP 2027 is eligible to submit their research for the award. The registration will be done below where the paper will be submitted – with a proof of age (copy of ID or passport) for category 1. The date of publication must be within the last three years. Hence, all accepted nominations for the award must be published between 1 April 2024 and 30 April 2027.

Deadline

Deadline for submissions is 28 February 2027.

The award will be judged by special committees chaired by Prof. Ali A. Alraouf and includes specialised CORP scholars and experts.

The Main Concept The REAL CORP Awards celebrate excellence, theoretical advancement, and practical innovation in urban planning and spatial development. By bridging academic research, early-career talent, and real-world urban projects, the awards offer a global platform to highlight solutions shaping sustainable, resilient, and smart cities.

Selection Process, Jury, Ceremony

Submissions are judged by special international committees chaired by Prof. Ali A. Alraouf and composed of specialised CORP scholars and experts. The jury reserves the right to grant one or multiple awards (or special mentions) per category based on submission quality. The winners will receive their official award certificates during the official ceremony at REAL CORP 2027 in Gdańsk, Poland.
